The Marion Police Department is committed to enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Marion through proactive enforcement, through patrol and investigations within the City Limits.

The Marion Police Department has 26 sworn positions and 8 reserve positions.
 

The Department maintains Administrative, Patrol and Investigative divisions. Community policing and crime prevention are stressed through Neighborhood Watch Programs and other programs and events such as National Night Out. The Department is involved in the schools by maintaining a School Resource Officer at East McDowell Junior High School. The Department provides property checks for residents and business checks for businesses in the City Limits.
 

The Police Department building is located at 270 South Main Street.

Reports can be picked up Monday - Friday from 9:00AM - 4:00PM (except holidays)

(During office hours only, 72 hours from date of report. No cost; 4 pages max)

Fingerprints- Appointment Only
Must have a valid picture ID
Fee: $10.00

Peddler Permits- during office hours only
Must have valid picture ID and company ID with address and phone number
Fee: $10.00 per week/ $50.00 per year
